226: Life Drawing in Dublin @ Sol Art Gallery

This time I went to the Tuesday session which has a mixture of short and longer poses ranging from 1 minute to 25 minutes).

As always we start with 1 minutes:

Then we went to slightly longer poses:

(5 minutes)
(Also drew a couple of the sketchers :D)

Now some 15 minute poses:

And 25 minutes (the pose below was so...meh for 25 mins, so I added some notes with my thoughts on why):

225: Dead Zoo

This guy was not in the dead zoo if you were wondering, this was a street performer on his electric guitar. Cool guy to draw!

And here are some dead zoo drawings:

224: Life Drawing in Dublin

As per custom, I started with some doodles in the Duke while drinking a coffee:

The thursday session always starts with a few 1 minute gestures:

Followed by the same pose 3 x 30 mins. 1st pose I took the full 30 mins for a rather stuff drawing:

2nd Pose I spent 20 minutes with another loose one from a different angle:

The last one Same motto, ended with a cartoony render:

223: Life Drawing Dublin @ Sol Art

I like to drink a cop of coffee and do some sketches before the session to get into the drawing mood:

First viewpoint in 3 different styles:

Second viewpoint was a dead on shot, but I think I managed to make it somewhat interesting?

Big headsyndrome! Aaaarrghh, I hate when that happens.... I raced this one out based on a pretty terrible undersketch.

222 : Going Traditional

Started with good ol' fashioned 1 minute warm ups in Photoshop:

Then switched to traditional medium, this is pencil & pastel (1 min):

I then did untimed drawings combining different media together:

I like the face (above) but meh...colorpencil & Biro

Colorpencil, HB pencil & Sharpie

220: Dublin Sketchers @ St. Stephens Green

These were done with the Dublin sketchers @ st. Stephens Green and Cafe En Seine.

I am playing around with my sketches in Photoshop to get ideas for future sketchbook drawings, the original is below:

Tim, a fellow sketcher who also goes to life drawing:

Here's a funny breasted man taking his dog out and a man in the cafe with very flobby lips :)

Here's another Photoshop edit with original drawing below. Looked like Hugh Jackman selling ice cream :

Here's a family with the kid desperately trying to grab the attention of his parents with flying Coke bottles. Unfortunately they left so I didn't get to work on a more finished drawing.
