Dead Zoo studies + people Sketching

I went to the Natural History Museum in Dublin again to study cats. Before I went in I did some gestures with a rotring pen which I've been trying to get used to using. But it makes me feel like I can't draw, so I eventually switched to a HB pencil....these are the drawings I'll post first....scroll down to find the horrible pen drawings.

OK below some pen drawings..

The mouse thingie is a colorpencil:

And below an assortment of sketches I did in coffee places. These are usually people walking by the window. I'm pretty crap at those...still a code I eventually. one day hope to crack. I think people who draw a lot of cartoony stuff will find this a lot more enjoyable, for people who rely on observation it can be quite frustrating.....

292:Dublin Zoo

Spent most of yesterday at the Zoo sketching animals..and the occasional person too. These are all quick sketches, I don't personally like drawing sleeping animals so did my best to capture some motion and weight:

2 fellow sketchers Katerina & Magnus:

Here 2 little Red Panda's were playing, really hard to capture anything :P

By the time we reached the elephants I was no longer in a sketching mood, it's tiring to fight your glance past millions of scout girls who want to see the elephant poop.

237: Dead Zoo and cafe sketch

I did a longer study..always kind of wanted to show the general awesomeness of the place, not only the animals. It's an amazing place to walk through.

I then did a sketch in a cafe with my buddy Arif (https://www.facebook.com/MisterGein)

I was aiming for a 2 page spread, but didn't get to finish :P

225: Dead Zoo

This guy was not in the dead zoo if you were wondering, this was a street performer on his electric guitar. Cool guy to draw!

And here are some dead zoo drawings:
