ANATOMY: PECS
Did some life drawing on Tuesday which showed me that I really have been getting stale these last couple of months. It motivated me to start drawing anatomy again during breaks at work, but I got confused about the shapes, so time to go back and re-visit some anatomy. Even if it's only 15 minutes of study, it's better than doing nothing :)

NATIONAL ARENA, TALLAGHT : ROLLER DERBY DRD v WaterFord Viqueens
We went to the National Basketball Arena yesterday to see The Dublin Roller Derby team face off against the Waterford Viqueens. We had to miss the main game of the DRD vs the Paris Rollergirls, but it was a great opportunity to do some sketching :)
You can take the 77A Dublin bus from Pearse street to the Castletymon shopping center, which stops right at a HUGE SIGN for the basketball Arena :)
All drawings were done using a maker with the occasional blue pencil and 4B for shading. It might seem easy but to gesture draw moving people is quite the challenge :)
Afterwards we saw the All Blacks in a pub called 'James Toners' on Lower Baggot street, really awesome beergarden!

Quick Study
Quick study is better than no study, even if it's bad :P
1) study from image in 'realistic' proportions
2) trying to draw the muscles from memory...russtyyy!
Same model, just drawn in a more pushed style.
